ENT - Important e-RS pathway update

The Community ENT service provided by Communitas aims to offer patients an appointment within four weeks for:

  • Routine assessment and diagnosis 
  • Routine treatment
  • Follow up where necessary/clinically required

Eligibility criteria

Inclusions

  • Routine ENT specialist care where surgery is an unlikely outcome post-consultation.

Exclusions

  • Patients who meet the criteria for AQP hearing assessments
  • Red flags and sudden hearing loss 
  • multiple and/or complex co-morbidities that require a multidisciplinary service across specialties
  • already had a complete work-up and treatment options have already been tried in the community

  • Priority – Routine
  • Specialty - Ear Nose & Throat
  • Clinic type – any of the following: Ear, Balance/ Dizziness, Ear, Neck Lump/ Thyroid, Not otherwise specified, Salivary Gland, Sleep Apnoea, Snoring, Throat, Tinnitus
  • Select - City and Hackney ENT Service
  • Select – The Nightingale Practice/Lawson Practice
