Eligibility criteria

Inclusions

  • Failed or declined conservative measures for women who have urinary and prolapse problems
  • Requesting assessment and pessary insertion
  • Failed or contraindicated medical treatment for bladder problem
  • Recurrent urinary tract infection
  • Dyspareunia and vaginismus requiring assessment and treatment

     

Exclusions

  • Within 6 months of giving birth
  • Referral for pelvic floor exercises and bladder training
  • Asymptomatic patients
  • Faecal incontinence or urgency
  • Constipation

Referrals can only be made via The Electronic Referral Service (e-RS). Referral will be assessed. Those sent for faecal problems or pelvic floor exercises will not be accepted.
