An enhanced physiotherapy service that can access diagnostics to support the assessment and treatment of patients.

This enhanced service offers:

  • More specialist physiotherapy for complex cases
  • Injections for pain relief
  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound scanning
  • Requesting Imaging if required- MRI, X-Ray
  • Requesting Pathology if required
  • Initial assessment before onward referral to specialist services if needed.

If an urgent referral is required or the patient needs transport/interpretation, please send to locomotor@nhs.net.

All referrals are screened to ensure that this is the right locomotor service for your patient.

The service also offers advice and guidance if you need support managing the patient in primary care.
