A range of sexual health services, including treatment of sexually transmitted diseases, contraception services, and HIV testing, prevention and support, are available locally.


Local Sexual Health Services during COVID-19 outbreak

These changes affect our services at the following clinics:

From Monday 16 March, access to Homerton Sexual Health is via telephone assessment only. This applies to both walk-ins and people with a pre-booked appointment.

Please signpost patients to their GP practice for Long Acting Reversible Contraception (LARC) coil and implant fittings and removals. The following practices are HUBs that accept EMIS referrals via their generic email from practicces who do not offer LARC:

People should not come to our sexual health clinics before they have been assessed over the telephone. They should ring first to schedule a telephone consultation, and a member of staff will return their call. The single point of access by telephone is 020 7683 4103.

People are encouraged to use the online testing service – SHL – by visiting www.shl.uk

Give your patient a written referral to be bought along to a walk-in clinic. Alternatively, post or fax referrals - these will be treated on an appointment basis. Visit the Homerton website for walk-in clinic locations and opening times.
