Eligibility criteria

Inclusions

  • Contraception choice complicated by co-morbidity
  • Difficult IUC fitting where method is used for contraception
  • Difficult IUC removal (non-visible or avulsed threads)
  • Removal of implants that are not palpable/have no pop-up sign
  • Removal of implant where previous failed removal attempt
  • Removal of unusual implants (Jadelle or Norplant)

For patients who are using contraceptive methods for non-contraceptive reasons and have problems, please refer to the Ivy Community Gynaecology service via e-RS
