Level 3 Safeguarding Looked After Children Training (LAC)

Wednesday, 13th February 2019, 1.30pm – 3.00pm

All clinical staff working with children, young people and/or their parents/carers who could potentially contribute to assessing, planning, intervening and evaluating the health needs of a looked after child/young person or care leaver an update regarding looked after children and health requirements. Evidence suggests that the experiences and needs of looked-after children and young people are not well understood by all the professionals who come into contact with them.

The aim of the session is to:

Increase understanding of this diverse group of children and young people.
Obtain the right knowledge, skills, attitudes and values, particularly as access to highly skilled and knowledgeable health practitioners results in improved outcomes, enabling young people to achieve their full potential.
