What is the GP alert system?

The GPs Alert System allows you to raise quality concerns regarding patient care at our provider Trusts.

How do I use the GP Alert System?

The CCG has put in place an EMIS Web form for City and Hackney practices - you can use an NHS.NET email addresses to raise individual patient concerns with the following Trusts:

  • Homerton
  • Barts
  • UCLH
  • ELFT
  • Tavistock and Portman psychology service

Please include patient level information so the Trusts can investigate, report back to you and hopefully solve the problem. You can also copy in our Head of Quality jenny.singleton@nhs.net  (no patient ID please) if you want. The form is very easy to use and can then be saved into the patient’s record if required.

The following fields automatically complete:

  • Date
  • Patients Name
  • NHS Number
  • GP Practice Name
  • GP Name
  • Practice telephone number
  • Practice fax number

What is the process?
There are slightly different response times for each Trust but they will acknowledge your email within 1-3 working days and report back to you within 10-25 working days. If they are not following this process, please report it to jenny.singleton@nhs.net
