If you are aware of anyone who is autistic and/or have a learning disability who are attending Homerton hospital for emergency or planned care (including outpatients’ appointments) then please contact the Learning Disabilities and autism team to ensure the person can be well supported when they attend the hospital.  

We can help with:

  • Planning admissions 
  • Supporting people with a learning disability and autistic people during hospital visits or stays. 
  • Checking reasonable adjustments are put in place
  • Promoting the use of health passports
  • Making sure hospital staff are aware about your needs
  • Communication, including accessible information
  • Support and advice for patients, families and carers
  • Training 

Eligibility criteria

Inclusions

Anyone who is autistic or has a learning disability using Homerton Hospital services.
