The Homerton Preconception Clinic helps women with the below long term conditions who are either pregnant or planning on becoming pregnant. 

  • Diabetes (patient leaflet in Downloads)
  • Epilepsy (patient leaflet in Downloads)
  • Thyroid disorder  (patient leaflet in Downloads)
  • History of bariatric surgery 
  • Obese women  (patient leaflet in Downloads)
  • Rheumatological condition 
  • Gastroenterological condition 
  • Haematological condition 
  • Complex obstetric history 

There is also a preconception clinic for women with diabetes. The service can help your diabetic patients who might get pregnant to:

  • Control their blood sugar levels 
  • Manage their diabetes while pregnancy
  • Manage their diabetic medicines in pregnancy
