Health Services Laboratories (HSL) has been providing the cervical screening service for the whole of London since 2nd December 2019.
This service operates within the NHS Cervical Screening Programme and is a partnership of the Royal Free, UCLH and London North West University Hospital NHS Trust.
Cervical Screening Tests are ordered via tQuest. You will need to set up any new users on tQuest as the service is independent from Homerton. Find the tQuest setup sheet in the Downloads section for instructions on how to do this.
Samples are collected via an HSL courier and not by the Homerton Service. It is important that all cervical smears are labelled with the practice specific bar code and placed in the purple CSL bags, and that no other samples are placed in these bags. Any samples sent to CSL in error will be discarded and the tests will need to be repeated . Please also ensure that you do not send cervical smear samples to Homerton pathology as they will not be processed .
More information on the service can be found on the Cervical Screening London webpage
If you have any queries or concerns relating to samples, results or any of the processes detailed above please contact the service on csl@hslpathology.com
For any queries relating to on-boarding of new staff or software issues please contact the CSL IT team at helpdesk@tdlpathology.com or by phoning 020 7307 7365.
