A change to the referral process for Paediatric Cardiology at Homerton Hospital has been approved following a review by the Primary–Secondary Care Interface Group.
From 13 October 2025, all paediatric cardiology referrals should be submitted via the General Paediatric Referral Assessment Service (RAS) on eRS.
This change is intended to ensure that children presenting with cardiac concerns are appropriately triaged and seen within the correct clinical timeframe. It will also support the cardiology team in gaining a clearer understanding of referred cases and managing clinic capacity more effectively.
As part of this change, the Paediatric Cardiology Directory of Services (DoS) will be removed from eRS from 13 October 2025.
