New training dates available to book for Making Every Contact Count (MECC) - part of your CCE contract

Content
Making every contact count (MECC) is an approach to behaviour change that empowers frontline staff to have conversations with the public about their health and wellbeing, and signpost them to local preventative services and other sources of wellbeing support.

As part of the CCE contract for 2022/2023, each practice is expected to send a minimum of one person to the following two sessions and complete feedback surveys.

Session 1 -  organised into four main modules:
·  What does a good conversation look like?
·  The key skills
·  Models and simulations
·  Resources to help you (knowledge and signposting)

Session 2 - reflective session.
It is really relevant to attend this second session in order to consolidate and reflect on the skills learned during the first session.

We are also able to codesign the sessions based on the needs and roles of your staff, practice or PCN, and on specific topics if this is something of interest to you.
We can also offer in-person sessions.
For example, the skills learnt in this training could help to support the uptake of flu immunisations. Previous successful training has included vaccine conversations training for recall staff.

Length
The sessions are 1.5hours delivered online.

Audience
All practice staff are eligible, including healthcare assistants, receptionists, and any other frontline facing non-clinical staff.
