This is a past event that took place on Thursday, 10th February 2022
Making every contact count (MECC) is an approach to behaviour change that empowers frontline staff to have conversations with the public about their health and wellbeing, and signpost them to local preventative services and other sources of wellbeing support.
As part of the CCE contract for 2021/2022, each practice is expected to send a minimum of one person to the following two sessions and complete feedback surveys.
Session 1 is organised into four main modules:
· What does a good conversation look like?
· The key skills
· Models and simulations
· Resources to help you (knowledge and signposting)
Session 2 - reflective session.
We are also able to codesign the sessions based on the needs and roles of your staff, practice or PCN if this is something of interest to you. For example, the skills learnt in this training could help to support the uptake of flu immunisations. Previous successful training has included vaccine hesitancy training for recall staff.
The sessions are 1.5hours delivered online.
All practice staff are eligible, including healthcare assistants, receptionists, and any other frontline facing non-clinical staff.
