This is a past event that took place on Friday, 11th December 2020
The East London Community Eating Disorder Service for Children & Young People (EL-CEDS-CYP), your local service for Hackney, Tower Hamlets & Newham, is delighted to invite you to the second part of a 2-series update on eating disorders in children and adolescents. Please note you do not need to have attended the first session to attend this one, as they are stand-alone webinars.
In this session we will focus on medical and psychiatric risk assessment and management. We will discuss physical health risks across the spectrum of eating disorders and introduce risk assessment tools for children and young people with eating disorders. We will use a series of case studies to facilitate learning.
Learning objectives for the session will include:
• Understand the current service offer in light of COVID restrictions
• Spot the signs of eating disorders and how to refer to specialist services
• How to conduct a SUSS test
• Rate the risk of refeeding
• Assess risk in anorexia
• Assess risk when purging behaviours are present
Friday, 11th December 2020 / 1.00pm
