Fatigue is a predominant symptom in post covid-19 syndrome, reported in the Hackney Primary Care Audit by 68% of patients.  As a result, people are having to adapt their physical activities, work and social responsibilities to accommodate this debilitating state.  It’s fluctuating course makes daily planning difficult and it poses a challenge to a person’s identity as he readjusts to this inconsistent normal.

The pain and chronic fatigue team will deliver a session on fatigue in post covid-19 syndrome, exploring biopsychosocial drivers and contextualising the symptom within both the pandemic and other fatigue conditions.  They will consider and discuss key interventions for fatigue management to include ideas on language used in consultations.

This webinar is a part of the wider series of talks about the post covid-19 syndrome.  Previous webinars have included breathlessness, proposed services and mental health aspects of the condition and are available to watch on the CCG website.  There will be a final webinar for case discussion in the new year.
