Prescribed and Illicit Drug Misuse This session aims to provide GPs and other healthcare staff with an update on the Shared Care Substance Misuse Service in City and Hackney. It will provide handy advice on managing difficult scenarios with Dr Matthew O’Brien, Consultant Psychiatrist in Addictions at Hackney Recovery Service.
Dr Jennifer Saw , GPwER in Substance Misuse for the GP Confederation and CCG Clinical Lead in Prescribed Medications of Addictions will add the GP perspective and discuss current evidence and guidance on dealing with addictive medication from both the illicit and prescribed ends of the spectrum.
There will be a Q+A so please bring some questions.
