Genomics and Family History Clinic Awareness Session GPs are crucially placed to identify patients at risk of inherited conditions including cancer, and training improves confidence in taking family history, recognising red flags, and making appropriate referrals for genomic testing. Understanding current testing pathways enables GPs to support patients with results, guide preventative care, and improve early cancer detection and outcomes.
