This is a past event that took place on Thursday, 17th October 2019
This session will be led by Nik Katiyar and Jonathan Tomlinson - GPs working in City and Hackney who have a great deal of experience of inner city primary care and medically unexplained symptoms.
The session will be linking (Medically Unexplained Symptoms) (MUS) and Adverse Childhood Experience (ACEs) and looking at what GPs can do practically to help patients where trauma may affect presentations and behaviour. They will also be talking about ACEs work in Hackney and how we can try to reduce the effects of social determinants of poor mental health on children locally.
There will be time for discussion, Q&A and case studies
