IRIS (Identification & Referral to Improve Safety) Clinical Refresher Training

Criteria: Must have received IRIS training in your GP practice before as this is a refresher only training course.

Learning outcomes: 

  • Know your practice performance
  • Be confident to ask, respond and refer patients: both telephone/video and face to face consultations
  • Be able to complete a brief safety assessment
  • To know how to record DVA (Domestic violence and abuse)
  • Recognise the impact of DVA on children and safeguarding responsibilities
  • Awareness of learning from DHRs (Domestic homicide reports)
  • Ability to respond to and refer perpetrators
