Derman
Is offering the services remotely via telephone or online. We accept new referrals for mental health service and gambling counselling.

Bikur Cholim
Provides emotional health support delivered by our team of Mental Health Support Workers.
Our IAPT services continues to take referrals and deliver culturally appropriate talking therapies for the Charedi community.
The service can be accessed through our usual referral line on 020 8800 7575 or emailing l.chontow@bikurcholim.co.uk
We have also been involved in setting up the COVID 19 Community Helpline on 3322 8384 which provides information and advice as well as volunteering support and single sessions of therapy support.
Talk Changes, the IAPT service for City & Hackney
Continues to offer the full range of talking therapies for common mental health problems via telephone and video conference. The easiest way for patients to access, the service is to self-refer via our website (talkchanges.org) but GP’s can also send referrals via email: use huh-tr.faxpcp@nhs.net. We are currently able to offer an initial telephone assessment within one week.
Core Arts/Core Sports
Core Arts & Sports have moved all of their services online. All of our usual classes are being taught by video via an online portal (more than 150 videos are now accessible on the portal). Members can also attend a range of live Zoom sessions in specific subjects throughout the week. Core are also offering peer support and social initiatives such as a weekly virtual social club. Members who do not have internet access are being supported creatively via alternative methods. The membership team are also conducting weekly calls to all members to check wellbeing.

City and Hackney PCPCS (Primary Care Psychotherapy and Consultation Service)
Continues to provide psychological assessment and treatment to patients with complex difficulties. We have offered a telephone-based service to all our current individual patients and we are now extending our offer to include assessments and treatments for people on our waiting lists. We have begun to trial online (zoom) interventions, where appropriate, and we will be exploring the possibility of delivering some of our group work remotely. We continue to contribute to the High Intensity User Service and we aim to keep our frequent attender patients away from A&E and crisis services as far as possible. We are offering our supervision and consultation services remotely to professional colleagues. This includes complex case discussion meetings with Hackney GPs and practice staff. We have expanded our supervision and reflective practice offer in the current crisis, in order to provide additional support to colleagues in the wider system.
Mind in the City, Hackney and Waltham Forest
Provides activities and services aimed at supporting people with a range of issues surrounding mental health and wellbeing. Psychological therapies, employment, education and welfare rights services continue to operate remotely. The Mind IAPT service continues to take referrals for talking therapy and is offering remote therapy via video conference and telephone. City and Hackney Wellbeing Network
Clients access self-help materials, groups and/or 1:1 therapy to support mental health, physical health, social networks, & daily living. At present, 1:1 psychological therapies are being offered remotely; some groups and courses are being offered remotely and we are seeking feedback to further develop remote offers according to population need. The Wellbeing Network is available to adults who are 18+ (excluding crisis support, individuals with acute psychotic and related disorders who require specialist intervention, individuals with primary problem of substance misuse who require specialist intervention, dementia or learning difficulties). East London Foundation Trust
Inpatients
Generally, inpatient wards are operating as normal with some reduced capacity, however limited visiting and the Mother and Baby Unit is closed to visitors.
Crisis Teams
The focus is to ensure these services remain accessible. Health Based Place of Safety, Homerton A&E Liaison, HTT & Emergency Services are all open as usual.
The Urgent Assessment Team (UAT) is open. To make an urgent referral that requires a response within 4-24 hours, please call the Urgent Assessment Team on 020 8432 8020.
Sun Project is operating a normal service online (tele video), that is running at different times to accommodate different routines over telephone with a maximum of four members. Contact the SUN on 07508 842 688.
Crisis Café is still accepting referrals, but currently telephone access only (Mon-Fri 6am-10pm; Sat-Sun 12-5pm). Call 073937 62366.
Community Teams
All community buildings closed except Donald Winnicott Centre and Home Treatment Hub. Most non-essential community work has been suspended or adapted.
South Recovery Team & North Recovery Team have merged and are running a limited service
Primary Care Liaison (PCL) referral service (also known as CHAMHRAS) have cancelled Routine Primary Care Mental Health Liaison Assessments.
We hope to provide a responsive service for GP colleagues, offering advice, assessment and treatment in the following ways:
OT & Art Therapy
Arts Therapy, MHCOP Arts Therapy and MHCOP OT are prioritising groups on wards, with tele community support to pre-existing clients. Currently they are all closed to new referrals.
OT & Life Skills are also focusing on patients on wards with activities, they are providing following up tele calls and sending information about social distancing and ideas of things to do, including digital activities to pre-existing clients.
Social Inclusion teams including Peer Support Workers & Smoking Cessation are continuing as normal with reduced demand
Carers Service is providing follow up over the phone to pre-existing caseload and is open to new internal requests for support
Others
Perinatal Outpatients is still open to referrals and now accepting self-referrals. All existing patients have an allocated key worker who is contacting them frequently; all assessments are being done over the phone. If you are currently pregnant and suffer from a complex, long-term serious mental health condition and on medication. Alternatively, if you believe you are becoming unwell with a serious post-natal illness for the first time and unable to access your GP, to discuss a referral to our service, please call local perinatal team to discuss your needs - 020 8510 8151.
The Recovery College is currently closed. The team are doing phone check-ins with students, and are open to new students (to have discussions around what is on offer in Hackney). Call 0208 525 4480/4487
High Intensity User Service - Paused
Welfare Rights team are seeing inpatients 3 days per week on the ward. Onward services are greatly reduced and often online only
SPS team are currently remote working, and not providing face-to-face support. They are working through previous referrals but temporarily closed to new referrals (however, this is to be reviewed with the intention of providing a modified service soon).
Autism Services & ADHD Services are currently suspended, but they are still processing new referrals via email
Learning Disabilities is a LBH led service, details to follow
Street Triage Service (City) is operating as normal
The Greenhouse Hackney Recovery Service is closed to new referrals but supporting existing service users, and providing advice to GPs. All over the phone.
